Pengaruh perawatan metode kanguru (PMK) terhadap durasi tidur bayi berat badan lahir rendah (BBLR)

Latar Belakang: Durasi tidur bayi Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR) adalah lamanya tidur bayi (menit) dalam pengaturan satu siklus tidur yang berkualitas pada bayi <2500 gr. Durasi tidur BBLR penting diperhatikan karena paling rentan terhadap risiko kematian serta permasalahan tumbuh kembang hingga dewasa. Prevalensi BBLR di Indonesia tahun 2023 sebesar 6,1%, dan angka cukup tinggi dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Perawatan Metode Kanguru (PMK) dapat menstabilkan tanda-tanda vital BBLR, mencegah hipotermi, meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, mengurangi siklus rawat inap, mencegah kematian, meningkatkan ikatan antara ibu dan bayi (bonding) melalui durasi tidur yang lama. Maka pada penelitian ini mencari pengaruh PMK terhadap durasi tidur bayi BBLR.
Metode: Penelitian quasy experimental dengan Posttest Only Control Group Design. Populasi BBLR di RSUD Haji Abdoel Madjij Batoe bulan Februari – April 2023 sebanyak 33 bayi dengan teknik total sampling; 16 bayi kelompok kontrol dengan perawatan inkubator, sementara 17 bayi kelompok intervensi dengan PMK.
Hasil: Hasil statistik terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada kelompok intervensi yang diberikan PMK dengan nilai p = 0,001 terhadap durasi tidur bayi BBLR.
Kesimpulan: PMK sangat direkomendasikan meningkatkan durasi tidur bayi berkualitas yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap tumbuh kembang bayi BBLR.
