Hubungan takut jatuh dengan kualitas hidup lansia

Latar Belakang: Takut terjatuh mempunyai konsekuensi yang berdampak pada seluruh bidang kehidupan dan kesehatan lansia yang pada akhirnya menyebabkan penurunan fungsional dan peningkatan ketergantungan pada aktivitas kehidupan sehari-hari dan aktivitas sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara rasa takut terjatuh dengan kualitas hidup pada lanjut usia.
Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional di UPTD Griya Werdha Jambangan Surabaya. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah Modified Falls Eficacy Scale-Indonesian Version (Modified FES-I) dan kualitas hidup diukur menggunakan kuesioner WHOQOL.
Hasil: Hasilnya, responden berjumlah 130 lansia, lebih dari 50% memiliki rasa takut jatuh yang tinggi dan 67% responden memiliki kualitas hidup yang buruk dan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara takut jatuh dengan kualitas hidup lansia.
Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil peneliian tersebut, pengeloala panti bisa menyusun program kebersamaan bagi lansia untuk meningkatkan kulaitas hidup mereka serta menyusun berbagai aktivitas serta penambahan alat bantu jalan untuk dapat mengurangi rasa takut jatuh lansia.
